Dr. Beverly Yuen Thompson

Dr. Beverly Yuen Thompson is Associate Professor and Chair in the Sociology Department, at Siena College, located in Loudonville, NY. She teaches Deviant Behavior, The Family, and Sociological Perspectives, among other courses. She earned a Ph.D. (2007) in Sociology from the New School in New York City. Her research interests include visual methods (documentary film) and subcultures. She recently published “Covered in Ink: Tattoos, Women and the Politics of the Body,”  from NYU Press (2015).
